Hey there! I’m Melbourne Wedding Celebrant, Nicole Ferguson. Call me Nic (totally comfortable with all variations of my name, so pick the one you feel comfy with). I am a friend, wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunty, step-mum, great aunt and most importantly, mother of the most magnificent Cleopatra, yes, the good-looking one in the pic to the left. She’s a red-headed, beach loving Australian Cattle Dog and the love of my life – my husband’s as well.
I recently got married, so firstly, trust me, I know all of the in’s and out’s – and to add to your trust of my knowledge, we were a “covid-wedding”, so I know how to postpone, organise & communicate with all vendors, family & friends and then go onto re-organise an amazing destination wedding festival, with every guest in attendance, from 3 different states (all of which were coming out of lockdowns at different times) & a few internationals. I navigated losing (for various reasons) musicians, a dress maker, a celebrant, transport etc etc. In short, I am your organiser extraordinaire!
I work hard, travel a lot, love music, reading, hiking (I’m not trying to date you, these are just actually the things I do and love!), most sports - being an AFL loving-Victorian living between Canberra & Melbourne, I now even watch Rugby league (usually whilst scrolling Insta, but I’m there in spirit!). Cooking, eating and drinking with my loved ones is also a big hit for me. Which brings us back around to celebrating – it’s my thing.
I’ve had 2 careers, this is my 3rd, Film and TV, Remedial Massage Therapist & Small Business owner (a number of random jobs in between) and now landing here – Celebrancy. See my list of celebrant packages and prices. I come from a long line of Celebrators, we literally celebrate anything we can and we love it - I blame my parents! This had to become a bigger part of my life and that was when I decided to become a celebrant…I seriously love love, in all of its forms. Weddings are the obvious one but a naming ceremony or vow renewal still brings a tear (this is a good time to drop that I may – definitely will – have a tear at your ceremony) to my eyes.
